Kshitij 2016

After the plan is traced on the site manually, the entire skeleton of the arena including the facade and stalls are erected using bamboo and wooden planks which are joined with nails and jute ropes. This frame is then given the final finish with sunpack, printed flex and synthetic cloth.

Ecology and Nature Museum

The concept of museum has been derived from ecology itself by using bio-mimicry elements. The concrete tree column supporting the glass roof of the atrium is one such adaption. All the spaces in the museum are radially located around the museum. It also provides a flexible option for the user to go and interact with whichever individual or space he/she wishes to

Philips Lighting India Limited

My project at Philips was to research and prepare a Landscape Lighting Guide using the Philips portfolios. The 200-paged Guide book consisted of lighting recommendations for various landscape elements. I learned various kinds of lighting effects and the types of fixtures that can achieve that. My experience at Philips also taught me the importance of lighting in architecture.

IIT Kharagpur

Tagore Open Air Theatre was contructed in 1995 to cater to the students activities around the year, mainly for annual student’s festivals viz. Spring Fest and Kshitij in the IIT campus. However due to increasing student population and recent changes in convocation’s venues. The existing Open Air Theatre is inadequate because it is not disabled friendly while IIT campus is modifying itself towards a total universal design

Transparence 2015

Over nineteen million families are without affordable housing and are dwelling in illegal buildings in Mumbai, India. Collapses of illegal buildings made with inadequate building supplies and practises have resulted in the death of its occupants. We need strategies to curb or mitigate illegal housing and include creating more affordable housing structures on the site given to us.
